Joy In Humility - Joy Unshakeable (Nathan Holland)

In "Joy in Humility," the second message of the Joy Unshakeable series on Philippians, Pastor Nathan explores how true Christian unity and joy are built on a foundation of humility. Grounding his message in Philippians 1:27–2:11, he contrasts the self-promoting, status-driven culture of Roman Philippi with the radical, self-sacrificing mindset that Paul calls believers to embrace as citizens of heaven. Nathan explains that spiritual unity is created by the Holy Spirit and requires Christians to value others above themselves, reject selfish ambition, and live with undivided loyalty to Christ. He highlights the "Christ Hymn" (Philippians 2:5–11), demonstrating how Jesus—though fully God—humbled Himself by taking the form of a servant, enduring the ultimate humiliation of death on a cross to save humanity. Ultimately, Nathan challenges the church to mirror Christ’s humble, servant-hearted love in their everyday lives, reminding believers that true honor and joy are found in following the example of a Savior who gave up everything for others.
