When your soul is downcast, the way forward is not denial, but honest lament and a deliberate remembrance of God's faithfulness. The message encourages listeners to model the psalmist: openly expressing their desperate need for God while repeatedly reminding themselves, "Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God." True lament is presented as faith fighting for light in the dark.
